What’s new?

New-look User Interface

A complete refresh of YuStudio®’s look, feel, colour palette, and design.

• Welcome Screen: templates and example projects to help new users get started.
• Instrument Chooser: redesigned, with more information about each instrument.
• Light Mode: switch easily between dark and light themes.
• Minimal Mode: hide supporting text and labels, giving a streamlined experience for more able users.
• Time/Bars & Beats Counter: compose to video with greater accuracy and time your compositions easily.
• Docked Keyboard: a major upgrade to YuStudio’s on-screen keyboard, with scale folding and touchscreen-friendly playing.
• File Menu: moved to a more standard position, making it easier to navigate around the DAW.

Tempo Changes

Add tempo changes to your project using a dedicated automation lane. Classical composers can write an accelerando, and club and rap producers can add genre-defying tempo switch-ups to their tracks.

Accessibility

YuStudio® is now fully screen reader compatible, with keyboard shortcuts for all core functions.

Input Monitoring

Record guitar or vocals through YuStudio’s effects and hear exactly how they sound on the way in.

Quality of Life Improvements

• New Record Behaviour: recording now counts in and starts playback automatically by default.
• Tap Tempo: just tap to set your project tempo.
• Input Quantise: turn it on and every note is quantised as you play.
• Main Channel Automation: control the main channel and mastering features with their own automation lanes.
• Auto-Naming: click the magic icon to generate a name for your project.
