Youth Music partnership supports national music-making projects

Charanga has teamed up with Youth Music to support a series of music-making projects for children and young people. Organisations funded by Youth Music, and the young people they support, can now access VIP Studio Sessions – our award-winning online learning and music production platform – to create music.

We’ve marked the partnership with the launch of an exciting competition to find some of the best new music produced by VIP users. The competition will be judged by none other than Youth Music Ambassadors, Bicep, the critically-acclaimed Electronic music duo.

Bicep will pick out their top three tracks from young people supported by Youth Music-funded organisations, and one other created by a student from the wider VIP community.

The criteria

The competition brief is broad – and deliberately so. Submitted tracks can be anything from House, Grime or Dubstep to everything in between.

Who can enter?

The competition is open to anyone aged 11–25 using VIP. Tracks created using other platforms, such as Ableton, Logic Pro X or Cubase, are also eligible. To enter, simply upload your track onto the VIP platform with the hashtag #ELECTRONIC.

The prizes

All winning tracks will be pressed onto vinyl. The winners will also receive £50 Bandcamp vouchers.
