With the academic year well underway, teachers and young people continue to find themselves in a new, unfamiliar situation. Many teachers are using VIP Studio Sessions as they respond to this challenge, and to ensure music-making can continue safely.

VIP Studio Sessions by Charanga, the online platform that supports the teaching of contemporary music genres, has launched a series of masterclasses with professional artists. They talk about the key skills needed to work as an artist in the modern music industry. The first series concentrates on Rap with Eyez, Lemzi and Hatter all sharing cutting-edge advice on how to get ahead as an aspiring artist.

We are excited to release a brand new set of tutorials on to the Charanga VIP Studio Sessions platform – all designed to help everyone relax at this unusual time.

VIP Studio Sessions users will find a new series of tutorial videos on the platform showing them how to create Rap Beats in Cubase, the popular music creation software package. The videos demonstrate how to create original beats and drum patterns in Cubase; input chords; use effects and add virtual instrumental lines into a track; before arranging and sharing it.

PQA students will join forces with VIP users to create something truly special as part of the project.
