‘When building YuStudio, we worked as a team to revisit all the assumptions that go into creating a DAW. Ultimately, we’ve developed something suitable for the vast majority of first-time users in schools, community settings, and at home – young producers who are getting their first taste of creating music.

We hope it gets many more young people started in music, especially those who haven't always had access to music technology.’

— Max Wheeler, Recording Artist, Producer, Educator and Charanga’s Head of Music Technology.

Bridging the gap

Over 100,000 students already use YuStudio to create music and compose for films, podcasts, and more.

In addition to mainstream and special school settings, the DAW is popular in the alternative provision and PRU sector, with tutors using it to engage hard-to-reach young people.

‘YuStudio is the one thing that has universally engaged all our students across KS3 in our special needs school. It’s easily accessible.’
–Fay, SEND Teacher, Devon.
