Workforce development
Charanga’s internationally respected PD & Training programme is fundamental to helping the music and arts teaching workforce to develop their skills and embrace new ways of working.
Around the world, in common with many other subject areas, music teaching for primary aged children (5–11) is often provided by generalist teachers, with more specialist music teachers focusing on older age groups.
When implementing new approaches and modernisation of teaching practice, supporting generalist teachers as well the specialists, is crucial for long-term success and sustainability.
We can work with you to design a tailored approach to professional development and training that will enable you to support the entire workforce as they seek to implement new policies and approaches.
A three-pronged approach – comprising face-to-face events, webinars and an online PD & Training Centre within the Charanga platform itself – ensures everyone tasked with the important job of teaching our children, is confident and properly trained.
In parallel, we work with you on a ‘train the trainer’ programme so that your longer term PD and training provision can be provided by your own local workforce.
