VIP Studio Sessions, the online music education platform to help teach popular genres in schools, is launching a dedicated Facebook group for teachers and a VIP blog.
The aim of the group is to serve as a place to share stories, music, ideas and practice. Because much of the strongest content and features of VIP has come through our regular catch ups and discussions with teachers, we hope that a place where ideas can be shared will make VIP even stronger, whilst offering a lot of benefits to teachers and educators along the way. This will hopefully help VIP to keep evolving, delivering the kind of platform that our teachers and their students need.
The Facebook group is also the home to the new VIP blog, as well as serving as a launch pad for lots of national-level opportunities – both for teachers and students – so we recommend that you join the group.
The new VIP blog will give regular posts to teachers and music educators discussing topics, ideas and best practice around teaching newer music genres: Hip Hop, House, Rap, Grime, Dubstep, Pop, Afro Beats etc as well as music technology discussions and modern pedagogy.
The dedicated teachers’ section within VIP is a great source of CPD and topics to help boost teachers’ own music technology skills, and the VIP blog will extend that. This will offer new content regularly, in a format that is easily consumed and shared amongst our users and the wider world.
To trial VIP start a free 30 day account, where you will access a full version of VIP, which includes the online recording studio and requires no software to install.
