Perform songs from Musical School Scheme when you are offline or do not have have easy access to a computer, e.g. in the school hall.
The app is organised into years and units, just like the Scheme. So, if you were looking for “In The Groove”, you would select Year 1, and then select “In The Groove”. You will see all of the performance backing tracks.
Tap to select the track that you wish to play and then press the teal coloured play button. To safeguard against accidentally clicking the menu mid-performance a “cover” graphic for the song is displayed over the menu while the song plays. The stop the song playing just click the red pause button. To resume the song press play again, or to rewind it tap its name in the menu.
While you are online you can choose tracks that you wish to have access to offline. To do this tap the download icon to the right of the song title and this will download all of the backing tracks associated with that song.
So, for example, if you were wanted to make “In The Groove” available offline, you would:
When you no longer need the tracks, or wish to free up space on your phone tap the trash icon to remove them.
If you can’t hear any audio, then your school network may be blocking MP3s. Use our content blocked test to see if your school is doing this.
Copyright information for each of the songs may be found by clicking the information icon to the right of the track title.
