Charanga’s online music teaching resources are unmatched in quality and in breadth by anything else on the market. What’s more, it’s highly relevant - our interactive content development is directed by the needs of teachers in the local authorities we work with and as a result it’s extremely topical and focused.

Tried, tested and trustworthy

Charanga’s system is tried, tested and completely configurable by teachers, by music services and by schools. In addition, our comprehensive service includes training and support, online and offline delivery systems, lesson planning and organisational tools, administrative interface for managers, and communication tools for teachers and students - all within the subscription price. It’s reliable, trustworthy and comprehensive.

Seamless interface

We have everything you need for a complete eLearning system. Not only is our system comprehensive, it’s also specifically designed to interface with other eLearning systems and VLEs, meaning it’s quick and easy to integrate and start using straight away.

Technical information

Web delivery for fewer technical requirements.

Charanga’s eLearning system is a web-delivered product and the only technical requirements for full access are a reasonably modern web-browser (IE6+, Firefox, Safari, Opera) with a Flash 8+ plug-in.

The back-end systems use open source software and servers (MySQL, Ruby on Rails, Apache).

Integration with school management information systems or other systems to establish user accounts and a single login.

We are in the process of establishing a single-sign-on integration with the Durham Learning Gateway in partnership with Durham Music Service, with access being provisioned via Shibboleth. Similar initiatives are underway in Nottinghamshire and Lancashire and our current partnerships in Coventry and Salford are expected to migrate to this method of delivery later in the year.

We already offer SCORM export of lessons into Moodle and VLEs.
